NIFFF 2023 : Unveiling D.IA.NE

The Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF) unveils the trailer for its 22nd edition (30 June – 8 July 2023). Created by Encor Studio, it expands on the aesthetics of the poster and reveals the face of its AI “Device for Intelligent Artificiality from Neuchâtel” (D.IA.NE),whose role is to guide you through this next edition. D.IA.NE is so evolved it can temporarily unlock limited festival passes, so rejoice! With its help, the EARLY BIRD passes can be purchased for just CHF 170 until May 24th.

NIFFF 2023 TRAILER: THE HATCHING OF D.IA.NE

Hear the clunking of the machinery, see the viscosity of the amniotic fluid: you are witnessing the hatching of a new humanoid creature. We’re just a few weeks away now. As preparations are progressing at full steam, D.IA.NE continues its synching, feeds its database, and improves its algorithms.

WORLD BUILDING WORKSHOP: CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

To all concept artists! You can partake in the first edition of a world building workshop that will take place during the NIFFF’s 22nd edition!

In collaboration with the Prix de l’Ailleurs, the NIFFF is looking for five artists whose task will be to bring to life the imaginary world of the “Comme un colibri-foudre” science-fiction short story by Magali Bossi, winner of the 2022 Prix de l’Ailleurs. World renowned illustrator John Howe, who notably became famous for his work on LORD OF THE RINGS, will be in attendance to share his expertise.
