THE NIFFF
Among the 9 film festivals supported by the Swiss Confederation and a member of the Méliès International Festivals Federation (MIFF), the NIFFF presents a selection of over 150 films divided into various competitions and special programmes.
Founded in 2000, the NIFFF has become an essential cinematic event with national and international recognition, thanks to its prestigious, innovative, and multidisciplinary programme. The festival is devoted mainly to a specific film genre: fantasy. Highly acclaimed by audiences, critics, and federal institutions alike, the NIFFF has continued to grow with steadily increasing attendance, surpassing the 60,000-spectator mark since its 22nd edition. The multidisciplinary and broad approach to the fantasy tradition promoted by the NIFFF has enabled it to establish itself as an international centre of expertise and to develop an innovative discourse surrounding genre cinema.
