Irene, the new receptionist working in a fancy hotel in the Austrian Alps, discovers that she replaces an employee who has mysteriously disappeared. By carrying out her own investigation, she meets with indifference and hostility from her colleagues. She is soon convinced that her lite is in danger. Selected in the program "Un certain regard" in Cannes this year, "Hotel" is based on Austrian short stories and tales. ln this rather scary film, Jessica Hausner plays with the codified rules of the thriller and proposes her own reading of the genre.
