An itinerant singer named Marc Stevens (Laurent Lucas) goes round old people’s homes singing heart breaking tunes. One night his bus breaks down in the middle of the forest. Mr Bartel (Jackie Berroyer), an innkeeper, helps him out. Marc is quick to realise that the landlord is a bit of a creep. His encounter with the degenerate villagers is just the beginning of a horrible and burlesque ordeal … With this first feature, Du Welz offers us a funny and bloody version of “survival” movies in the footsteps of « Texas Chainsaw Massacre » or « The Hills Have Eyes ».
