Following the murder of a member of the Midori gang, the gang - 6 middle-aged divorced women – decide to seek revenge by putting the murderer on a spit. However, that person is himself part of a gang made of up 6 merrymakers who have no intention of letting the others go scot-free. The vicious circle of vengeance begins… “Karaoke Terror” is based on a novel by Ryû Murakami, author of “Audition” produced by Miike. The movie is structured into small chapters which use popular karaoke songs as titles. This work is a dark and cynical comedy, which makes you sometimes grind your teeth, sometimes laugh.
