This Soviet science-fiction masterpiece dates back to the 1930’s and is an adaptation of the classic R.U.R (Rossum Universum Robots), written by Karel Capek the inventor of the term “robot”. As with Metropolis but with more humor, the film relates the adventures of a genius who manages to create highly intelligent androids.
