Shinichi, acted by the Japanese film star Aikawa Sho, is a failure as a father and a second-rate professor. His son is ashamed of him, his wife cheats on him and, as is often the case in Miike’s films, his daughter is a prostitute. To escape from this gloomy reality, Shinichi dreams of becoming Zebraman, his childhood television superhero. One day he sets off onto the streets in his self-made black-and-white suit in search of criminals. Sure enough, he runs into the terrible Crabman. In the meantime, the wildest news about an invasion of aliens is coming over the television networks … By far the funniest of Miike’s movies.
