Franklyn takes place within two parallel realities: the city of London and Meanwhile City, a futuristic metropolis led by religious fanaticism. It is about four lost souls who are involved in several idealistic quests. Jonathan Preest is an upholder of the law who is tracking down his worst enemy in the back-alleys of London. Emily is a pretty art student and is quite obsessed with her weird and suicidal artistic performances. Milo is a thirty year old broken-hearted man who tries to regain the passion of his very first love. And Esser is a desperate father who tries to find his son in the slums of London City. These four characters have nothing in common but their destinies will meet and thus create a cataclysmic collision between two separate worlds... As well as in Alex Proyas’ Dark City, Franklyn is meant to gather a very large audience. James Bond Girls’ fans should enjoy the acting of sexy Eva Green (Casino Royal). Rock stars’ admirers will certainly like Sam Riley (Control); and one who likes bad boys will be pleased to watch Ryan Phillippe acting (Cruel Intentions).
