On her way to visit her grandmother, Lucy suddenly finds herself plunged into chaos. Bullets fly from all directions while explosions seem to occur everywhere. It’s like an actual civil war just started in the New York neighbourhood of Bushwick. In the turmoil, Lucy meets veteran soldier Stupe, who accepts to take her to see her grandmother – supposing she is still alive. Their fight for survival is only beginning… With a very Children of Men feel to it, this hard-hitting sci fi film takes an extremely credible political conflict as the starting point for a flabbergasting experience. The directors made the decision to shoot only in a series of one-takes which, right from the opening sequence, immerse the viewer in this chaotic ballet of limitless dangers. A narrative and technical triumph that shows the audience no mercy.
