Painfully affected by the death of her husband, a woman is placed in a mental institution. There, she gives birth to an invisible boy she names My Angel. Because she wants to protect him from the cruelty humans have towards those who are different, she hides his existence from the world. But the truth is revealed when the child meets Madeleine, a blind girl. Their love will continue into adult age, when a new revelation will shatter their world... With its magical feel – the tricks used in the film have a lot in common with those of Georges Méliès – Mon Ange is a very sensory experience where everything is done to make the audience feel in the centre of the narrative. That is why its heart-breaking romance is seen through the eyes of the protagonist.
