Barcelona couple Marc and Ana are expecting their first baby. They are looking for a quiet holiday getaway, but also something different. They decide to give home-swapping a try, and are ecstatic to find a seemingly perfect couple: Hans and Olga, two very nice German retirees that live in a modern villa in the heart of the Black Forest. But once homes are swapped, Marc and Ana discover that their hosts want to swap much more than just houses…

Home invasion meets haunted house in The Cuckoo’s Curse, an exploration of the insidious horrors that can hide in plain sight even in the most welcoming environments, in the most pedestrian aspects of life. Pure paranoid thrills that will make you realise that there is indeed no place like home!
