A young woman driving across the American desert falls prey to an unhinged cop. Thus begins a terrifying game of cat and mouse. It only takes a few moments for the film to establish a growing tension and eventually reveal an explicitly sadistic streak. In the blazing sun and through oversaturated colors, mind games, manipulations, threats, and abuse of power blend together at breakneck speed, culminating in an exhilarating and bloody climax.
