Traumatized by her husband’s suicide, Frankie (Ariella Mastroianni) is a widow who lives apart from her daughter and suffers from a cognitive condition that alters the way she perceives time. She cannot reconcile the surreal visions she has at night with the very concrete dangers of her everyday life. Shot on 16 mm and inspired by indie New York cinema from the 70s, with hints of Cronenberg and the Safdie brothers, Gazer immerses the audience in an intense visual experience enhanced by a feverish urban atmosphere.
