As Hagino and her husband are settling in together, a strange young woman starts visiting Hagino’s stepdaughter. The young woman’s mysterious and troubling past seems to have a dangerous hold on the stepdaughter.
Hagino has always dreamed of having a loving home, and she is determined to create just that with her new husband and his daughter, Moeka. Soon after they move in, Moeka is attacked by a strange teenage girl called Chi-chan, who used to live in the same house. Moeka, feeling emotionally neglected by her father since the wedding, becomes disturbingly attached to her. Inspired by real events from 2011, Toxic Daughter dissects family dynamics through the lens of the horror thriller.
