Calling all concept artists! You have a chance to partake in the first edition of the World Building workshop during the 22nd edition of the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF), from June 30th to July 8th, 2023.
This workshop – organised by the NIFFF in collaboration with literary award Prix de l’Ailleurs – will get five artists together for a duration of five days. They will be tasked with giving shape to the imaginary world of “Comme un colibri-foudre”, the science-fiction short story from Magali Bossi, winner of the 2012 Prix de l’Ailleurs.
Whatever it is you design (environments, characters, vehicles, architecture), you can apply right now to take part in this workshop. The selected artists will be invited (all-expenses-paid) to the festival from June 30th to July 5th, 2023, and will receive wages for their five days of work.
Renowned illustrator John Howe, notably famous for his work on THE LORD OF THE RINGS, will also be in attendance to share his own expertise.
At the end of the workshop, the participants will present their illustrations to the NIFFF’s audience!
