Studio cinema (Cinepel)
The NIFFF is partnering with La Nuit du Court métrage de Neuchâtel for a screening of RISE & SHINE in the presence of its director Arnaud Baur (from Neuchâtel) and the actors Noémie Baudet and Jason Grangier. Selected as part of the Swiss competition during the NIFFF’s 20th edition, this visually immaculate short film tells an apocalyptic story from the point of view of Nancy, a disillusioned petrol station worker.
The screening will be followed by 4 short films programmes.

MIDNIGHT MOVIES AT THE CENTRE DE CULTURE ABC
Saturday, November 26th – From 7 p.m.
The NIFFF’s SCREAM QUEER retrospective, dedicated to the representation of LGBTIQ+ identities in genre cinema, is going into extra time. The MIDNIGHT MOVIES co-programmed with the Centre de culture ABC (La Chaux-de-Fonds) will consist of three slashers that subvert the clichés of heteronormative decorum. While behaviour and sensibilities have evolved, two of the chosen films do away with scruples and sacrifice political correctness on the altar of final twists and shock effects.
Full programme:
- SISSY, by Hannah Barlow (Australie, 2022, 1h47)
- SLEEPAWAY CAMP, by Robert Hiltzik (USA, 1983, 1h24)
- LE FILS DE CHUCKY, by Don Mancini (USA, 2004, 1h27)
Tickets are available at the ABC’s ticketing desk from November 9th.
2ND EDITION OF THE ALTROQUANDO FESTIVAL, IN TESSIN
